Organising a company party: your catering checklist

At a company party you want to celebrate with your colleagues, not spend the evening dealing with the catering. Go through these points beforehand and everything is arranged.

1. How many guests, and for how long?

The number of guests and the duration determine almost everything: how much food, how much drink and how many people are needed. Not everything final yet? An estimate is enough for a first proposal.

2. The food

For a company party we advise a buffet or a barbecue, both from 40 people. A buffet costs €35 to €36.95 per person, a barbecue €32.50 or €42.50 for the luxury version. If your group is smaller, charcuterie boxes are a good alternative, from 10 people. Let us know about dietary requirements in your request.

3. The drinks

There are two ways. A drinks package with the food with soft drinks, beer and wine, for €8.50 per person for the first hour and €5 per extra hour. Or a bar with a bartender: the Classic bar (€195) or the Premium bar (€395) for 2 hours, plus drinks at €6.95 per guest per hour. A glass of bubbly on arrival costs €9.50 per person.

4. The people

With serving staff you don’t have to do anything yourself. They serve, collect glasses and keep the room neat and tidy. Serving staff cost €45 per hour per person, with a minimum of 4 hours. Our rule of thumb: one person per 40 guests at a buffet and one per 75 guests at a bar.

5. Rentals

• Glassware: €0.55 per glass, allow two glasses per guest
• Crockery and cutlery: €1.95 per person
• Cocktail tables with covers: €22.50 each, about one per ten guests
• Party tent to size, from €195 including set-up and breakdown

6. Rounding off and clearing up

• Coffee after the meal: €10 per person, unlimited espresso, cappuccino and tea
• Cannoli as a sweet finish: €2.95 each
• Washing-up service: €0.75 per person
• Final clean and waste removal: €125

7. Mind the date and time

On Sundays we charge a 25% surcharge on staff, on public holidays 50%, and at Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day 100%. If your party runs past 11 pm, a 25% surcharge on staff applies. If you book within two days of the event, a 15% short-notice surcharge applies to the total.
